Overnight Behavioral Health Associate
Hourly Pay: $18.00 - $24.00
Part-Time On-site position: Alexandria Virginia
Schedule: 8pm - 6am
Are you empathetic patient and committed to empowering adolescents on their journey towards sustainable mental wellness Embark at Alexandria is seeking an Overnight Behavioral Health Associateto mentor adolescents (ages 12 - 17) in aresidential treatment program. As a key member of ourmultidisciplinary treatment team you will help create astructured supportive environment where adolescents can heal and develop essential life skills. This role can be physical in nature so we encourage candidates who feel comfortable with these demands to apply.
Ourhome-like residential programfosters healing for both clients and staff offering an opportunity to make a lasting impact while growing personally and professionally.
- Conduct routine bed checks to ensure client safety and compliance
- Monitor clients in assigned rooms and respond to concerns
- Support clients who are ill distressed or unable to sleep
- Maintain a safe calm and structured overnight environment
- Document bed checks observations and incidents accurately
- Perform light cleaning and laundry duties
- Follow crisis protocols and report incidents as needed
- Communicate overnight updates to incoming staff
- Follow all safety confidentiality and program policies
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Current drivers license in good standing
- Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
- Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative client
- Skill in de-escalating agitated clients
- Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational experiential and systemic modalities
- Ability to plan implement and adjust to plans accordingly
