Behavioral Health Associate ECT

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
• Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required. Two or more years experience in Human Services Field; OR
• Associates Degree with major in human services field and two or more years experience in human services field; OR
• Bachelors Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field.
• EMT or paramedic experience preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ACLS Certification and IV Certification .
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be based on state or facility. May require a valid state drivers license for some facilities.
