We are seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) who will work in the home setting on Long Island. The BT will provide direct behavior-analytic services to clients following behavior intervention plans designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BT will work with individuals to develop and improve skills related to communication social interactions daily living and academic performance. The BT will collect data on client progress and participate in team meetings to ensure effective implementation of behavior plans. Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans:Follow specific behavior intervention strategies designed by a BCBA including skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Data Collection:Accurately record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals using data collection systems as prescribed.
Skill Acquisition:Implements various teaching methods such as Discrete Trial training and Natural Environment Teaching to assist students in making targeted academic and behavioral gains.
Client Interaction:Work directly with clients in various settings (home school community) to promote skill development and behavior change.
Behavioral Assessment Assistance:Assist BCBAs in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and other assessments as needed.
Training and Feedback:Attend training sessions and receive ongoing feedback to improve service delivery and implementation of behavior plans.
Communication:Maintain open and effective communication with supervisors team members clients and their families.
Documentation:Complete necessary documentation including progress notes session summaries and incident reports.
Ethical Conduct:Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
Job Type: Part-time after school weekdays

Certification:A current RBT certification is preferred for the job. (WE CAN HELP CERTIFY)
Education:High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior challenges is preferred but not required.
Background:Able to pass a background check
Skills:Strong communication interpersonal and observational skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols. Proficient in data collection and basic computer skills.
Personal Qualities:Patience empathy and a genuine interest in helping individuals improve their quality of life.
