Job Summary

Position Summary

This role is a strong starting point or advancement opportunity for those interested in building a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Technician you will provide direct support to children and their families by implementing individualized ABA programs focused on skill acquisition and behavior improvement. Services take place in the clients home or within community settings depending on treatment goals. Typical sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM with flexibility based on your availability. Hourly pay ranges from $22 to $30 depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available for bilingual Spanish-speaking applicants.

Key Responsibilities

Behavior Technicians play a key role in helping children develop communication social and daily living this position you will use evidence-based behavioral interventions to teach new skills and reduce behaviors that may impact safety or independence. Applicants with coursework or degrees in psychology education human services or similar fields are strongly encouraged to apply. Being successful in this role requires reliability compassion professionalism and a genuine desire to support meaningful progress in childrens lives.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent complete 40 Hours of provided online training a valid drivers license reliable transportation and active auto insurance listing them as a covered driver. A current negative TB test is required. Strong interpersonal communication problem-solving skills creativity and professionalism are essential for this role. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and collaborating closely with a clinical return we provide competitive pay flexible scheduling and a supportive workplace focused on professional growth.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements:

  • Frequently sit stand walk bend kneel crouch reach and transition between floor-level and standing positions throughout the workday.
  • Actively participate in developmentally appropriate client activities including floor-based activities movement-based activities transitions and safety monitoring.
  • Safely navigate assigned work environments including homes clinics schools community settings and remote/telehealth settings as applicable.
  • Occasionally lift carry push pull or move therapy materials and equipment typically up to 50 pounds.
  • Sit for extended periods while providing telehealth services or completing computer-based work as needed.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate computers keyboards mobile devices and other equipment requiring fine motor coordination.
  • Maintain visual and auditory awareness to observe client behavior monitor safety and communicate effectively in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Read understand retain and apply written and verbal information.
  • Maintain attention concentration situational awareness and sound judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Collect record and submit accurate client data and session documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Maintain professionalism and emotional resilience when addressing sensitive client or employee matters complaints and workplace concerns.

Incentive Pay Structure

  • $1/hour raise after maintaining consistent availability for 90 consecutive days
  • Additional $1/hour raise upon successfully earning RBT certification

Cancellation Policy

To protect staff time and earnings we maintain a clear cancellation policy. Paid cancellations are provided for up to 2 hours of pay if a client cancels within 30 minutes or less of the scheduled start time and/or technician has already departed for the session. We also actively monitor and address excessive client cancellations to protect technician schedules and maintain consistent hours.
