Hope Human Services is a premier provider of SupportedLiving and Diversion services for developmentally and intellectually disabledadults throughout Washington State.

The Behavior Support Specialist participates as a member ofthe Diversion Management Team in maintaining quality and continuity of care forindividuals supported within our Bed-Based Diversion Program. This positionprovides leadership training coaching and support to Direct SupportProfessionals while assisting with the development and implementation ofindividualized behavioral support strategies and care plans.

The Behavior Support Specialist works collaboratively withProgram Managers Clinical Supports Direct Support Professionals familiesguardians and community partners to ensure individuals receive high-qualityperson-centered support. This position provides in-the-moment coaching staffdevelopment behavioral support implementation data review documentationoversight and consultation to promote positive outcomes and quality services.

Wage Range: $27.00 - $28.00

Requirements & Essential Job Functions

Be at least 21 years of age or older

Minimum Associates degree required; Bachelorsdegree in Human Services Psychology Behavior Analysis Education or relatedfield preferred

Experience as a Behavioral Specialist TrainerRBT BCaBA LABA or similar behavioral support role preferred

Two or more years of experience supportingindividuals with developmental disabilities intellectual disabilities autismmental health conditions or challenging behaviors

Provides leadership coaching and training toDirect Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professionals

Demonstrates direct care skillsprofessionalism critical thinking and objectivity

Develops implements and supportsindividualized behavior support strategies and person-centered care plans

Uses behavioral data observations andassessments to guide support planning and monitor progress

Reviews documentation for accuracy complianceand quality assurance purposes

Participates in staff development training andongoing coaching to ensure quality service delivery

Ability to work flexible hours includingevenings weekends and crisis response situations as needed

Ability to access agency homes and communitylocations to support individuals and staff

Experience with data collection documentationreview and electronic record systems

Must have a currently valid drivers license orvalid drivers license as an active-duty armed forces personnel or dependent ofan active-duty armed forces personnel and the ability to be insured to driveagency vehicles

Proof of vehicle insurance

Provides driving abstract on annual basis or asrequested

Provides valid CPR and First Aid certificationor obtains within required timeframe

Provides Supported Living Letter of Exemption or75-Hour Training Certificate or obtains within required timeframe

Provides Peer Coaching Certificate or obtainswithin required timeframe

Able to pass a criminal background check withthe State of Washington and maintain clearance during tenure of employment
