Were looking for a Behavior Specialist who is passionate about person-centered support training staff and improving outcomes for the individuals we Youll DoIn this role youll lead the development and implementation of behavior strategies that support individuals across our programs. Youll partner closely with staff families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent person-centered care while also training and coaching employees on best practices in behavioral support.A typical day may include:Designing and monitoring Behavioral Support Plans using positive behavior strategiesTraining staff and leading in-service sessions or orientation classesConsulting on behavioral challenges and reviewing participant progressAttending team meetings and collaborating with internal and external partnersMaintaining documentation and tracking behavioral dataWhat You BringBachelors degree in Social Sciences or related fieldAt least 1 year of experience supporting behavioral plans for individuals with I/DDStrong communication training and collaboration skillsExperience with documentation and data trackingValid California drivers licenseWhy Join The Arc of San DiegoMission-driven work that directly impacts livesOpportunity to train lead and influence programs across the organizationCollaborative and supportive team environmentCommitment to professional growth and development
