Beautification Supervisor

Job Summary
The Beautification Supervisor will prioritize the beautification of the City focusing on litter abatement groundskeeping and greenspace maintenance. This position is responsible for the upkeep of various City properties and parks ensuring grounds are properly maintained with facilities that are clean and functional.
SPECIFIC TASKS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scheduling and direct supervision of all beautification crew members/volunteers
- Maintain a safe efficient work environment
- Provide excellent customer service to the public
- Manages/directs Beautification plan based upon City expectation
- Creates a weekly work site schedule/modifies as need due to inclement weather
- Prioritizes work schedule according to city wide special events
- Oversees setup of parade barricades and special event setup when needed
- Identifies when maintenance of heavy equipment is due
- Communicates expectations and safety procedures when working near public roads
- Operate large trucks/trailers combinations hauling equipment on various terrain
- Ability to safely operate zero-turn mowers trimmers chain saws and other various landscaping/maintenance equipment
- All other duties as assigned
WORKER REQUIREMENTS(education certifications experience etc.)
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Able to comprehend retain and carry out instructions as well as anticipate logistics
- Able to multitask
- Sound knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies
- Organizational and time management skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Capable of performing physical labor some of which can be demanding
- Able to constantly stand walk bend and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)
- Able to lift push/pull a weight of up to 50lbs
- Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)
- Perform job around various elements (i.e. animals dust and allergens)
HOURS/SCHEDULING
- Hours TBD up to 34 hours per week.
