About the Role

As a BCBA Assessor you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments for individuals referred for ABA services. Your work directly informs treatment planning insurance authorization and clinical directionwithout ongoing case management or supervision responsibilities.

Youll partner closely with intake clinical leadership and operations teams to ensure assessments are timely accurate and clinically robust.

What Youll Do

• Conduct in person comprehensive initial and reassessment evaluations for individuals referred for ABA services
• Administer score and interpret standardized assessment tools (adaptive behavior skill-based assessments FBAs and more)
• Conduct caregiver educator and stakeholder interviews to gather clinical context
• Observe clients across home school clinic and community environments
• Synthesize data into clear clinically sound treatment recommendations
• Prepare detailed assessment reports aligned with payer regulatory and organizational requirements
• Determine medical necessity and recommend appropriate service levels and goals
• Collaborate with intake and authorization teams to support insurance approvals
• Provide consultation to clinical leadership regarding assessment findings
• Maintain timely accurate and compliant documentation

What Were Looking For

Required

• Current BCBA certification in good standing
• Masters degree in Behavior Analysis Psychology Education or related field
• Active licensure
• 3 years of ABA experience including behavioral assessments
• Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
• Knowledge of insurance authorization and medical necessity criteria
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (travel required for in person assessments)
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass required background checks

Preferred

• Experience with FBAs adaptive assessments and diagnostic support
• Familiarity with multiple payer systems and funding sources
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
