Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages takes food orders delivers meals and drinks maintains cleanliness of the bar and dining areas and ensures responsible alcohol service in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet residents and guests in a friendly professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar dining room and service stations.
  • Restock liquor beer wine mixers garnishes glassware and supplies
  • Prepare garnishes and maintain fresh product inventory.
  • Process payments accurately.
  • Follow all food safety sanitation and health department regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties including cleaning equipment and securing inventory.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure efficient service.
  • Participate in special events banquets and catering functions as assigned.
  • Promote daily specials featured cocktails and mocktails wine beer and menu items.
  • Maintain knowledge of menus ingredients allergens and beverage offerings.
  • Complete weekly inventory and utilize PAR Levels for ordering all beverages
  • Report equipment issues safety concerns and inventory shortages to management.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to bartend.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous bartending and serving experience preferred.
  • Alcohol service certification (TIPS ServSafe Alcohol or state-required certification) preferred.
  • Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Ability to operate a POS system.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Bend reach stoop and twist throughout the shift.
  • Safely carry trays glassware and food items.
  • Work evenings weekends holidays and special events as scheduled.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong hospitality mindset with a commitment to outstanding service.
  • Knowledge of beer wine spirits cocktails and responsible alcohol service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy service periods.

Working Conditions
