JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Bartender

Department: Food & Beverage

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Assistant F&B Manager / F&B Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes mixology and POS systems required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of spirits wine beer and cocktail preparation.
  • Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state/local regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
  • Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
  • Attention to detail accuracy and cleanliness.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails beer wine and other beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Greet and engage guests take orders and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area including counters equipment and glassware.
  • Restock liquor mixers garnishes glassware and supplies throughout the shift.
  • Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
  • Follow all sanitation safety and alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
  • Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
