JOB DESCRIPTION: BARISTA

Summary:

A Barista creates the Starbucks Experience for our guests by delivering prompt and courteous service expertly crafted beverages and products while maintaining a safe clean and comfortable store environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide friendly courteous and prompt service
• Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items products and offers
• Receive and enter orders into the POS system process payments and make change quickly and accurately
• Provide quality beverage and food products by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
• Verify accuracy and deliver guest orders
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
• Discover and respond appropriately to guest needs
• Cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a safe clean and comfortable store environment
• Follow health safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
• Unload and stock inventory as needed
• Follow uniform and grooming standards and policies
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to follow directions work in a fast paced guest responsive environment
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates management and guests.
• Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
• Minimum lifting pushing and pulling of 50 pounds
• Pushing bending stooping walking upward reaching manual dexterity seeing hearing writing typing verbal communication.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and/or holidays
