Bar Events by Olive Oak
Were seeking friendly polished bartenders to join our private Events team.
Founded in 2020 Events by Olive Oak is the events and private dining arm of the OO Hospitality Group. Our vision is to service events with a restaurant touch offering uniquely crafted food and beverage menus for each clients needs while providing unparalleled hospitality throughout.
Given the nature of the events world applicants should be comfortable with menus that change regularly variation in venue set-up and accommodating unique beverage requests from hosts and guests. Flexibility professionalism and a positive attitude are key.
Daytime and nighttime hours are both available and we ideally prefer our team members to work a mixture of both. Weekend availability is strongly preferred for this position. However we do accommodate student schedules.
An ideal Events Bartender will:
- Arrive on time to complete necessary bar prep tasks
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and attend line-up meetings to prepare for successful event execution
- Provide exceptional hospitality and attentive beverage service at all times
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of event beverage menus specialty cocktails beer wine and non-alcoholic offerings
- Prepare cocktails pour beer and wine and execute beverage service accurately and efficiently
- Communicate inventory needs guest requests or service concerns to Event Management
- Maintain a clean organized and guest-ready bar throughout service
- Assist fellow team members when needed to support smooth event execution
- Follow responsible alcohol service standards and uphold all company and legal alcohol service requirements
- Perform light side-work duties breakdown and bar clean-up after service

Flexible schedules with weekday weekend and evening availability needed especially during peak entertaining season.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of venue including food and beverage areas. Requires mobility prolonged standing bending stooping and reaching. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to tolerate varying levels of stress temperature illumination air quality and fatigue. Heavy customer contact required. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
