Summary of Position:
Bar/Service Managers are trained to perform all of the duties that are required for the Front of House (FOH) operations with additional responsibility of directing the daily operations of the restaurant in the General Manager and Assistant General Managers absence. These duties include hosting food running busing serving and bartending. It is the FOH Shift Managers job to ensure compliance with all company standards including customer relations team management inventory management financial accountability restaurant maintenance and other duties as required or assigned. This position will also be responsible for managing the bar and handling weekly inventory and ordering and cleanliness. As part of training the FOH Manager will be cross-trained to perform catering duties and Back of House duties as well. Overall the FOH Managers role is to support the front line staff in whatever capacity is needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads Team Members and directs all daily operations of the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager including supervising and training employees opening and closing the store managing employee breaks and shift changes completing shift note entries and most importantly ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Motivates and coaches Team Members and assists in the training of new Team Members
- Excels in performing all Team Member tasks including: runner/frontline coordinator order taker/ dining room attendant front door hosting and to go bartender duties
- Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.
- May assist General Manager and Assistant General Manager in day to day operations with tasks including managing the floor ordering and team development.
- Weekly bar inventory and ordering
- Maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers and sales representatives
- Make certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct
- Check stock is correctly rotated and stored to reduce wastage
- Developing weekly/bi-weekly drink specials and developing the tap list for draft beers.
- Ensures that the local health and safety codes and company safety and security policies are followed.
- Maintains fast accurate and outstanding service ensures an excellent customer experience and makes sure all products are consistent with company standards.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
- Ensure staff operate within company policies
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards
- Resolve customer complaints promptly
Qualifications:
- An associate degree or college education in restaurant and hospitality management or institutional food service management is a plus.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Have knowledge of service and food and beverage generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations.
- Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
- Knowledge of cost control procedures and bar/beverage service operation
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Be able to reach bend stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have the stamina to work 40 hours per week including nights and weekends.

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
