JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The Banner Development Team Lead is both a project manager and team leader for the Banner Development Team with responsibilities in the planning development and management of systems and team members to fit the ever-changing needs of the UT Health Science Center campus.
Responsibilities
- Serves as technical lead for all Banner-related projects.
- Assists in all areas of Banner functional support - Financial Aid Registrar Admissions and Bursar.
- Evaluates current technical processes to determine areas for improvement pushing the group toward a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leads operational-level task assignment and project management of all Banner-related projects.
- Leads testing efforts to ensure consistent or even automated test plans.
- Evaluates current and new tools to determine if they provide value; reports findings to supervisor to help initiate implementation.
- Works with the IT Business Analyst to ensure project progress and project completion.
- Performs or schedules seminars classes or webinars for the team.
- Mentors other developers as needed on new tools or processes.
- Researches and analyzes emerging technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE:Five (5) years of progressive programming experience preferably with Ellucian Banner; ORMasters Degree and three (3) years of progressive programming experience preferably with Ellucian Banner; ORa combination of education and experience to equal nine (9) years.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to perform technical analysis of current and new systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead projects of any size to completion.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
