A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its Wilmington office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors secured lenders creditors financial institutions private equity sponsors distressed investors and other stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters.

3 years of bankruptcy restructuring insolvency or creditors rights experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience representing debtors secured lenders unsecured creditors financial institutions private equity sponsors or distressed investors

Experience handling Chapter 11 proceedings out-of-court restructurings workouts reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation

Experience with creditor rights distressed acquisitions DIP financings cash collateral matters and plan negotiations is preferred

Experience drafting and negotiating restructuring agreements financing documents asset purchase agreements and other bankruptcy-related documents

Strong legal research writing analytical negotiation and oral advocacy skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated restructuring matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Experience practicing before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court is preferred

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Delaware bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nationally recognized Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice

Exposure to sophisticated Chapter 11 proceedings and complex restructuring matters

Significant client interaction and responsibility
