Bankruptcy Associate

Location: Wheeling Illinois (In Office)

A well-established boutique law firm in Wheeling is seeking two Associate Attorneys to join its debtor-side bankruptcy practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney in the early stages of their career who wants to build a long-term practice in bankruptcy law. The firm offers extensive hands-on training and mentorship making it an ideal fit for candidates with an interest in bankruptcy whether or not they have prior experience in the practice area.

• Represent individuals in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.

• Meet with clients and guide them through the bankruptcy process.

• Prepare bankruptcy petitions schedules pleadings and other court filings.

• Attend hearings and work closely with experienced attorneys.

• Develop your legal skills through hands-on training and mentorship.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.

• Attorney in the early stages of their legal career.

• Prior bankruptcy experience is preferred but not required.

• Strong communication organizational and client service skills.

• Eager to learn and build a long-term career with the firm.

• Competitive salary of $90000$105000 depending on experience.
