Job Summary

Mineola ISD is seeking a dedicated student-centeredlong-term band subto join a proud and tradition-rich band program serving grades 612. Mineola High School Band is afive-time UIL 3A State Marching Champion and a two-time 3A State Honor Bandwith a longstanding commitment to excellence in both marching and concert performance.

This position includes teaching responsibilities at the middle school and high school levels with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals and developing student leadership throughout the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teaching beginner clarinets and saxophones

  • Assist with all aspects of the 612 band program including marching band concert band and UIL preparation

  • Contribute to a positive hard-working culture that reflects pride in our school and community

  • Collaborate closely with band staff campus administration

  • Negotiable: before/after school rehearsals contests and performances

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of woodwind pedagogy and rehearsal techniques

  • Woodwind background preferred
