Team Leaders aids management in hiring and training new team members updating management on team member performance and acts as a liaison between team members and upper day-to-day:Answers team member questions helps with team member problems and oversees team member work for quality and guideline complianceProvides encouragement to team members including communicating deadlines and goalsAssists management with hiring process and new team member trainingEnsure production estimates are met and displays are full and merchandised with appropriate signageProvides quality customer service including interacting with customers answering customer inquiries and effectively handling customer complaintsParticipate in monthly quarterly and yearly department inventoriesOther projects as neededQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentAt least one year experience with product knowledgeOn occasion safely operate bakery ovens mixers and all other equipment used in the day-to-day operation of the bakery departmentBase knowledge of all areas of the bakery: cakes breads bagels donuts rice cakesGreat customer service skillsGood computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook the HRIS and Great Plains (purchase order/transfer system)Good organizational skillsThe ability to delegate tasks and communicate directions clearlyThe ability to multi-taskWhat you bring to the team:Lead by exampleExcellent work ethicExcellent interpersonal skillHonestThe ability to problem solverFirm but fairFlexibleWorking Conditions:Due to the use of the baking ovens the temperature in the department maybe warmer than room position requires frequent walking standing lifting and pulling with a maximum of 30lbs and occasionally climbing pushing and :Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude ensuring that each customer feels welcome and :Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store offering assistance and support where :Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach :Create a memorable shopping experience for our customersBe a positive ambassador for the store representing our S.T.E.W. values in all interactions with customers and team members.
