What You Will Be Doing
As a Bakery Manager you will lead all aspects of the bakery department combining your passion for fresh high-quality products with strong leadership and customer focus. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store experience by ensuring fast friendly and courteous service while offering fresh bakery items that meet customer expectations every day.
In this role you will manage daily operations drive sales and gross margin performance and develop a high-performing team. You will play a key role in inventory control shrink prevention and maintaining product quality freshness and presentationwhile upholding company standards food safety and all applicable policies.
Main Responsibilities
Foster an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast friendly courteous service.
Lead and manage bakery operations to achieve projected sales and gross margin objectives.
Order receive check and control inventory to ensure appropriate product quantity quality and freshness.
Prevent shrink damage and spoilage through effective product handling rotation and inventory practices.
Plan schedule and supervise bakery staff to ensure adequate coverage productivity and compliance with labor guidelines.
Train coach and provide performance feedback.
Ensure compliance with company division and store policies; food safety and sanitation standards; and applicable laws.
Maintain a clean safe and organized bakery department at all times.
What We Are Searching For
Soft Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage coach and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain calm professional and solution-oriented when interacting with customers and coworkers.
Knowledge & Abilities:
Knowledge of basic math weights and measures.
Ability to manage administrative responsibilities including planning scheduling ordering reporting and inventory control.
Scheduling:
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Work is performed in a temperature-controlled store environment.
Frequent standing and movement throughout the department; frequent bending stooping twisting and turning.
Ability to lift stack and maneuver items up to approximately 55 lbs.
