Job Duties:

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Baker to prepare food and complete related tasks according to quality and safety standards to ensure satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. This position will also:

  • Provide oversightforthe set-up and maintenance oftheBakery

  • Perform baking and relatedactivities following established bakingproceduresand best practices to create and servehigh-qualitybaked goods according to quality and safetystandardsto ensure customer satisfaction and achievedepartmentalfood servicegoals

  • Work closely with students student managers andlimited-termemployees

Availability/Schedule:

Evening and Weekend shifts are required with a tentative schedule of Sunday - Thursday: 10:30am - 7:00pm and 8:00am - 4:30pm (Sunday)

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a variety of baked goods including yeast products(40%)
  • Assists student employees and provides training as needed10% Assists with recipe and menu development and testing(25%)
  • Adheres to federal state campus and local safety regulations policies and procedures(15%)
  • Assists with recipe and menu development and testing(10%)
  • Cleans inspects and maintains bakery equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality handling and sanitation processes and procedures(10%)

Department:

Dining and Retail Services - - $21.00 an hour

Required Qualifications:
  • Six months of food service experience in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of food service experience in a professional setting

  • ServSafe Certification Food Handler or Manager Certification

  • Experience leading and/or training staff

  • Experience in a customer service environment
