Azure Cloud Architect (Cloud Migration)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join our team in Wilmington DE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture with a focus on Azure and database administration. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement cloud solutions that meet business needs while ensuring optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable secure and high-performance cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Manage and optimize cloud resources ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and strategy.

Oversee database administration tasks including performance tuning backup and recovery.

Develop and maintain cloud governance policies and best practices.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation.

Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect cloud environments.

Mandatory Skills:

Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture and services.

Strong database administration skills particularly in AWS and Azure environments.

Expertise in cloud security best practices and compliance.

Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

7-10 years of experience in cloud architecture and database administration.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud networking solutions.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud environments.
