Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The NCCC works to support Northfield students pursuing post-secondary education by offering a wide variety of student support services including childcare. The NCCC intentionally focuses on meeting the educational needs of recent Northfield High School alumni especially students of color those from low-income families and those who are first-generation college attendees. The NCCC Childcare Specialist provides childcare while students attend evening classes. Additionally they will be asked to support various capacity-building projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine a weekly schedule working at the NCCC Student Center
Provide childcare while students attend evening classes
Communicate regularly with NCCC staff regarding any childcare concerns and needs
Contribute to NCCC marketing by reviewing plans distributing posters to local coffee shops etc.
Office clerical duties including but not limited to data entry preparing parent/family outreach mailings type/summarize meeting notes research information for program use and other clerical duties as assigned as time permits
Punctual reliable attendance at all assigned shifts
Preferably available 5:45 9:00 p.m. any night Monday Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday and other afternoon/evening times as agreed upon in advance
Shifts may be regularly assigned or on an as-needed/substitute basis.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Strong communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Expected to be comfortable working with students of diverse backgrounds Experience working with children preferred
Bilingual (Spanish or Somali speaking skills) preferred
