AWS Cloud Storage Lead

The AWS Cloud Storage Lead is a contractor role responsible for leading the design implementation and operational management of enterprise cloud storage solutions with a primary focus on AWS. This role will drive storage strategy architecture automation resiliency and performance optimization including leading FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSx ONTAP) implementations in AWS to support large-scale application and data migrations. The contractor will partner closely with infrastructure cloud security and application teams to deliver secure scalable and cost-effective storage platforms provide technical leadership for cloud transformation initiatives and establish operational best practices across hybrid and cloud-native environments. Experience with Azure storage services is beneficial but not required.

• Design deploy and manage cloud infrastructure and services across public and/or hybrid cloud environments
• Build and maintain scalable highly available and secure cloud architectures
• Automate infrastructure provisioning configuration and deployment using infrastructure-as-code tools
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure performance availability and cost optimization
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application deployment and integration
• Implement and maintain security controls identity management and access policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and service-related issues
• Support backup disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Document cloud architectures configurations and operational procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cloud best practices

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation ARM templates)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of networking security and cloud-native architecture principles
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
