Convey impact of the business group they will be joining on Marvell and the Marvells Global Marketing organization exists to accelerate Marvells growth by delivering impactful outcomes and services that elevate our brand captivate our target audiences and exceed stakeholder expectations. The organization encompasses communications digital events social analyst relations marketing research and product and technology marketing working closely with Marvells business units investor relations finance HR and executive staff to ensure our messaging and positioning resonate with diverse global audiences.
As AVP External Communications & PR you will lead Marvells external voice at a pivotal moment in the companys growth. Marvell is rapidly expanding its footprint in AI infrastructure connectivity and this newly created high-visibility role gives you the opportunity to build a modern always-on communications program shaping how the company shows up in top-tier business and tech publications to match the pace of its market momentum.

What You Can Expect

Media Relations & Earned Media Strategy

  • Lead Marvells global media relations strategy and day-to-day press engagement across business financial technology trade and regional media.
  • Strengthen relationships with key business and financial media including outlets such as The Wall Street Journal Bloomberg Reuters and CNBC while expanding Marvells presence across technology and trade media podcasts and industry newsletters.
  • Build and lead an always-on earned media program that extends beyond key moments such as earnings product launches and industry events.
  • Develop a proactive media strategy and editorial calendar that keeps Marvells narrative consistently in front of priority audiences in partnership with Legal Investor Relations business units and other key stakeholders.
  • Expand Marvells visibility and influence across relevant industry organizations technical communities partner ecosystems and other external platforms.
  • Establish meaningful measures of communications effectiveness including share of voice sentiment message pull-through and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor geopolitical regulatory and industry developments affecting semiconductors and data infrastructure and translate relevant trends into communications strategies and opportunities.

Corporate Narrative & Executive Thought Leadership

  • Shape and maintain Marvells corporate narrative and external messaging ensuring the companys strategy technology leadership and growth story are communicated clearly and consistently.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives on media strategy thought leadership reputation and high-profile communications opportunities.
  • Develop executive thought-leadership platforms and secure opportunities across top-tier business and financial media industry events podcasts bylines interviews and other influential channels.
  • Build a strong bench of executive and technical spokespeople providing media coaching and preparation for interviews speaking engagements and other external appearances.
  • Partner with product technology and engineering leaders to translate complex innovations into compelling stories that elevate Marvells technical leadership.
  • Identify and amplify significant technology and business milestones through integrated communications programs spanning media analysts industry organizations partners and digital channels.
  • Partner closely with Internal Communications to ensure Marvells external and internal narratives are aligned around major company priorities and developments.
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing and Creative to develop compelling communications assets including press materials executive bios briefing materials and visual storytelling.

Corporate Reputation Crisis & Issues Communications

  • Lead Marvells corporate reputation strategy ensuring media engagement executive thought leadership and external communications reinforce a consistent understanding of the company and its leadership.
  • Refine and maintain crisis and issues communications protocols including escalation paths spokesperson strategy and response materials.
  • Serve as a senior communications lead during media-facing issues partnering with Legal Investor Relations executive leadership and other stakeholders to coordinate Marvells response.

Agency Team & Global Execution

  • Lead and manage global PR agency partnerships establishing clear expectations and holding agencies accountable for measurable results and cost effectiveness.
  • Build effective regional PR execution across the Americas EMEA and APAC maintaining a globally consistent narrative while enabling locally relevant programs.
  • Oversee media monitoring measurement and distribution platforms and ensure they are used effectively across the communications team.
  • Provide leadership coaching and mentorship to members of the PR and broader communications team.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Investor Relations and Legal on Regulation FD and other public-company disclosure requirements including Regulation FD considerations related to external communications.
  • Work with Investor Relations Product Marketing Analyst Relations and business leaders to translate complex technology product and business developments into narratives that resonate with investors analysts customers partners and media.

What Were Looking For

Required

  • Bachelors degree required; degree in communications journalism marketing or a related field preferred.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in B2B technology communications public relations and earned media including significant experience in a public-company environment.
  • Established relationships with tier-1 business financial technology and trade media covering semiconductors data infrastructure AI or related technology sectors.
  • Experience developing and executing proactive corporate and executive communications strategies in a complex fast-moving technology environment.
  • 8 years managing PR agency relationships and experience holding external partners accountable to clear objectives and measurable results.
  • Direct experience leading crisis and issues communications planning and response.
  • Strong executive presence and experience advising coaching and preparing senior executives for media and other high-profile external engagements.
  • Working knowledge of public-company communications requirements including Regulation FD and related disclosure considerations.
  • Hands-on experience with media monitoring and distribution platforms.
  • Exceptional writing editing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technology and business concepts into clear compelling narratives for external audiences.

Preferred

  • Experience in the semiconductor data infrastructure or AI industry.
  • Experience managing communications across the Americas EMEA and APAC.
  • Experience developing executive thought-leadership and speaking programs.
  • Experience building or scaling a government affairs or policy communications capability.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

216500 - 320350 $ per annum

The successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible to participate in Marvells bonus and equity plans including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the companys long-term success.
