Aviation Civil Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer to join our Airport Engineering Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Nashville TN.

• Assist with the design of airport pavements runways taxiways and airside/landside infrastructure.
• Perform engineering calculations quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for airport improvement projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform grading drainage stormwater and utility design calculations.
• Support preparation of technical reports specifications and basis of design reports.
• Conduct site visits and construction inspections to monitor project progress.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including transportation structural electrical mechanical architectural and environmental engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with FAA regulations airport design standards and local requirements and assist with FAA grant and airport improvement program documentation.

• EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Completion of Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.

• SPECIAL SKILLS: AutoCAD Civil 3D stormwater and drainage design geometric design construction documentation communication and teamwork.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred) or ability to sit and obtain within 6 months

Expected compensation range is between $75000 - $85000 annually depending on skills experience and geographical location.
