Automotive Technician

Job Summary:Here at The C. Harper Auto Group - Honda we are looking for a Automotive Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and certifications. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done on customers and dealership vehicles. You will be responsible for your own tools and work stations and will have the responsibility of managing your time per job.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs and maintenance based on vehicle inspections.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Basic computer competencies
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid drivers license
• Valid State and Emissions License
