Were looking for a dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team and play a key role in cutting-edge engine and vehicle performance testing!

Job Duties:

  • Observe and monitor engine and vehicle performance tests utilizing computer-controlled systems to measure engine lubricants fuel efficiency and overall performance.

  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to conduct tests accurately and in alignment with established procedures.

  • Monitor record and adjust controlled parameters throughout testing ensuring compliance with test protocols and maintaining detailed log files for various test types.

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers supervisors and project leaders to relay test progress findings and any anomalies encountered.

  • Prepare extract and properly label test specimens according to procedural guidelines.

  • Perform routine maintenance on engines and test stands including engine tune-ups fluid changes transmission removals cylinder head replacements tire changes fuel tank removal and cleaning and injector replacements.

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments using tools such as scanners and voltage meters to troubleshoot and resolve engine performance issues.

  • Carry out fabrication and plumbing tasks as required to support test setup and maintenance.

  • Execute test engine removal and installation procedures ensuring proper handling and setup.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while strictly adhering to all safety regulations and protocols for handling potentially hazardous materials.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 year of automotive experience required.

  • Proficiency in basic math functions including addition subtraction multiplication division and percentage calculations.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive engines fluids and engine accessories with an understanding of their basic functions.

  • Ability to interpret engine manuals and follow technical instructions for diagnostics and repairs.

  • Skill in identifying poor engine performance and determining when to seek assistance.

  • Competency in using computers for data entry and test diagnostics.

  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with assistance.

  • Commitment to following safety requirements and practices particularly in environments with high noise levels heat and fumes.

  • Proficient in using hand and power tools for mechanical adjustments such as knobs levers brackets and buttons as instructed.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication with team members.

  • Must possess strong attention to detail and efficiency in completing tasks.

  • Required to always wear steel-toed safety shoes.

  • Must have a valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
