Capital Automotive Group is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Junior Account Manager to join our team! This is a great opportunity for an experienced automotive professional with a background in accounting who is ready to grow their career within the dealership finance and accounting side of the business.
Previous automotive dealership and accounting experience is required. The ideal candidate understands the day-to-day operations of an automotive dealership and has hands-on experience with accounting responsibilities financial records reconciliations and reporting.
In this role youll work closely with Account Managers and other departments to support accurate financial reporting expense tracking reconciliations and daily accounting activities.
What Youll Be Doing
- Assist with recording and reconciling financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Support bank statement reconciliations and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and track dealership expenses to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Collaborate with various departments to reconcile expenses and explain variances.
- Assist with preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Review and analyze financial data to help support business decision.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Work alongside Account Managers to support daily accounting and finance activities.
- Help ensure accounting processes and dealership financial information are accurate and up to date.
- Assist with other accounting and finance projects as needed.
What Were Looking For
- Previous automotive dealership experience is required
- Previous accounting experience is required
- Experience working in an automotive dealership accounting or finance environment is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with dealership accounting processes and terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers and analyzing financial information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manager multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening.
