Automotive Electronics Installer- 12 volt

Position Summary The Auto Installer is responsible for installing troubleshooting and servicing various upfitting components for emergency and specialty vehicles. This includes wiring lighting sirens and other equipment installations necessary for the customization and functionality of vehicles for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive electronics and/or vehicle modifications and be committed to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform custom installations of emergency lighting sirens radios partitions and other vehicle components.
• Wire and test electronic components to ensure proper function and safety.
• Diagnose troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed.
• Follow established procedures safety protocols and quality standards.
• Document work performed including parts used and time spent in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean organized workspace and care for all tools and equipment.
• Stay updated with the latest vehicle upfitting technology and best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Previous experience with vehicle upfitting automotive electronics or a similar field is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems wiring and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
