Automotive Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Shared Resource Center (SRC) team. This position is responsible for reviewing and posting vehicle deals to the general ledger for multiple dealerships across several states ensuring accuracy consistency and compliance with company accounting policies.

• Review and post new and used vehicle deals to the general ledger
• Verify deal structure inventory transactions and accounting accuracy
• Ensure proper recording of vehicle sales trade-ins payoffs incentives warranties and ancillary products
• Reconcile inventory-related accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Work closely with dealership personnel to resolve accounting and documentation issues
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures across multiple dealership locations
• Support a high-volume fast-paced accounting environment

• Strong understanding of debits credits and general ledger accounting
• Understanding of cost accounting principles
• Ability to analyze transactions and determine their financial impact
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
