Position Summary:

Supports Automation Engineering and Operations with a technical focus. This position requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness and ability to trouble shoot equipment failures and follow equipment assembly and preventative maintenance instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assemble subassemblies prototype and production equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity
Machine or modify parts as required
Read drawings and schematics of intermediate complexity
Assemble circuit boards of intermediate complexity
Wire equipment of intermediate complexity
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity
Teach assembly and preventative maintenance to other Technicians as directed by Automation Engineering
Design simple tools and fixtures under the direction of Automation Engineering
Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue or escalating it to Automation Engineering
Assist engineers with component and tooling implementation for production including but not limited to equipment validation component drawings and device bills of material
Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards
Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Requirements:

3 years minimum of assembly or equipment experience medical device preferred
Follow written and verbal instructions
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient with computer use Microsoft Windows Excel Word and Office 365
Mechanical aptitude/trouble shooting abilities
Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
Ability to easily adapt to new tasks
Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
Ability to read and understand simple mechanical drawings
Strong organizational skills
