Position Summary:

Supports Automation Engineering and Operations with a technical focus. This position requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness and ability to trouble shoot equipment failures and follow equipment assembly and preventative maintenance instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assemble subassemblies prototype and production equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity
  • Machine or modify parts as required
  • Read drawings and schematics of intermediate complexity
  • Assemble circuit boards of intermediate complexity
  • Wire equipment of intermediate complexity
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity
  • Teach assembly and preventative maintenance to other Technicians as directed by Automation Engineering
  • Design simple tools and fixtures under the direction of Automation Engineering
  • Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue or escalating it to Automation Engineering
  • Assist engineers with component and tooling implementation for production including but not limited to equipment validation component drawings and device bills of material
  • Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards
  • Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Requirements:

  • 3 years minimum of assembly or equipment experience medical device preferred
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with computer use Microsoft Windows Excel Word and Office 365
  • Mechanical aptitude/trouble shooting abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
  • Ability to easily adapt to new tasks
  • Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to read and understand simple mechanical drawings
  • Strong organizational skills
