The role:
As an Automation Technician you will help drive our goals by:
Supporting the operation of automation control systems tomaintainsafereliableand efficient production
Troubleshooting and resolving control system and equipment issues with production and maintenance teams
Performing maintenance and adjustments on automated electrical equipment including PLCs HMIsdrivesand servo systems
Updating control systems documentation and supporting program modifications to improve performance
Working with external vendors to diagnose and resolve complex automation issues
Training colleagues on troubleshooting techniques and safe maintenance practices
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Information Technology ComputerScienceor a related discipline
Experience with PLCs HMI/SCADAsystemsand industrial automation in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems including drives controlpanelsand power distribution
Ability toanalysefaultsidentifyroot causes and implement effective solutions
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley systems (ControlLogixRSLogix5000) and industrial networks isadvantageous
Strong communicationskills and ability to collaborate across teams
