We are seeking an automation tech to better support the teams automation needs here at Nucor Steel Kingman.
The site features state-of-the-art controls automation and robotics for advanced steel manufacturing. The candidate will help safely support the continued improvement and maintenance of these systems.
- Always looking for ways to improve safety through process improvements and increased reliability of our systems

- Role will be a field focused position improving process and equipment operation
- Maintains proficiency in required skill areas
- Must be available for trouble calls outside of scheduled hours including nights and weekends and available to support planned outages and down days through startup.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- 2 years experience with automation systems developing/troubleshooting logic in an industrial environment
- Diverse background in PLCs HMIs and industrial controls
- Industrial electrical and controls experience including troubleshooting field devices and power circuits through to the automation systems that control them
- Accountability and Dependability- Displays personal responsibility in work habits and will hold themselves accountable for desired reliable responsible and committed to fulfilling obligations and ensuring the success of the team.

- Experience with HMI software development
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and ABB drives
