Automation Engineer 2nd / 3rd Shift

Location: Ohio

Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Support automation systems PLCs HMIs and manufacturing equipment during project execution and day-to-day operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation controls and equipment-related issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Assist with system upgrades startup/commissioning activities and equipment integration projects.
• Collaborate with maintenance engineering and system owners to ensure operational efficiency and process reliability.
• Provide support for shift-based manufacturing and maintenance activities during 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with industrial automation PLC troubleshooting and control systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and automated production systems.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively during off-shift hours.
• Availability to work 2nd or 3rd shift schedules with flexibility for summer scheduling.
• Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience is preferred but not required.
