Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities
- Design program and maintain automation and control systems.
- Lead capital automation projects from concept through implementation.
- Collaborate with operations maintenance quality and engineering teams.
- Improve equipment reliability productivity and process performance.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Job Duties
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs HMIs machine vision systems and related controls.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics using CAD software.
- Manage project scope schedules budgets equipment procurement and commissioning activities.
- Design and support automation solutions for industrial manufacturing applications.
- Analyze equipment performance and implement process improvements.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Work with vendors and contractors to support automation initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and engineering records.
- Comply with all NOV Quality and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline required.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing automation and controls experience.
- Must be located in the Navasota area or within a reasonable commuting distance; this is an onsite position
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC HMI and machine vision systems.
- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical schematic development.
- Demonstrated project management experience with successful implementation of capital projects.
- Working knowledge of automation manufacturing processes quality systems and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong troubleshooting analytical organizational and communication skills.
