Job Summary
Tectonic is currently seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time AutoCAD Technician with AutoCAD drafting work experience to join our Survey Department within our Brandon FL Office.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development and to work with a diverse group of land surveying professionals!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions of this position include performing reduction of survey field data photographs and sketches the calculations of and analysis of field data to develop detailed technical survey plans and preparation of survey maps including boundary and topographic surveys plans cross sections and profiles using CADD methods. Additional duties include communicating with project managers surveyors and colleagues to modify drawings in accordance with project specifications and printing copying scanning and organizing CADD drawings. Occasional site visits may be required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 year(s) of experience using AutoCAD 2024 or newer with moderate program proficiency; 3D modeling experience a plus;
- Land Surveying experience is strong preferred;
- HS Diploma/equivalent required; Associates Degree or Certificate Program in Architecture Drafting or similar is a plus;
- Must be detail oriented with effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Valid clean drivers license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the essential functions of this position the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position handle inspect and/or feel documents materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. The employee will also need to process manual and computer generated documents and will be required to communicate using the Corporate e-mail and telephone accordance with the level of visual detail required for this position close vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required for this position. They may be occasionally required to move around on a job-site including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder and positioning themselves appropriately to obtain necessary specifications. The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 10 lbs. This position may involve occasionally operating a motor-vehicle which may require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.

PAY RANGE
Tectonics goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidates work location experience education certifications and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 / hour
