The Authorization Specialist Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the authorization team ensuring timely and accurate processing of medical service authorizations. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on work supporting the team in navigating payer requirements improving workflow efficiency and upholding compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business or a related field preferred.
- 35 years of experience in medical authorizations billing or healthcare administration.
- 12 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role is highly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of payer authorization processes and healthcare terminology.
- Strong leadership problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 25%
