In this role youll play a vital part in ensuring patients receive the necessary authorization approvals for scheduled outpatient procedures. Working closely with physicians and healthcare teams youll help facilitate a smooth patient experience while supporting accurate reimbursement and minimizing financial impacts for both patients and the organization.

What Youll Do:

• Obtain pre-certifications for scheduled outpatient procedures to support timely patient care and accurate reimbursement.
  Communicate professionally and courteously with physicians and healthcare partners regarding authorization requirements.
  Review and process authorization-related information accurately and efficiently.
  Utilize strong communication multitasking and basic math skills to manage daily responsibilities.
  Support revenue cycle operations while helping ensure a positive patient experience.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of High School or GED is required.
  Two to four years of experience in a physicians office hospital registration collection agency hospital or professional billing or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
  Epic and insurance knowledge is a plus but is not required.
