Audiovisual Project Manager / Estimator
Location: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania United States (On-Site)
We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual Project Manager / Estimator to join a growing AV integration team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for someone who comes from the field and understands AV construction projects from the ground up including reading specifications riser diagrams and developing accurate bills of materials and labor estimates.
This is an on-site position supporting commercial and corporate environments K-12 and higher education projects.
Position Overview
The AV Project Manager / Estimator will review construction drawings coordinate with electrical engineers and general contractors develop manufacturer-based quotes and oversee projects from pre-construction through completion. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings specifications and riser diagrams
- Perform take-offs and develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Generate labor estimates and full project quotations
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and GCs to clarify scope
- Work directly with manufacturers to formulate pricing
- Provide technical guidance during installation phases
- Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are met
- Monitor labor hours and project profitability
- Support field technicians throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain communication between field teams clients and office staff
Preferred Qualifications
- CTS CTS-I or CTS-D certification preferred
- 3 years of AV installation or field experience
- 3 years in construction project management or estimating
- Strong understanding of AV system design and infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience in commercial corporate K-12 and higher education environments
- Background with major AV manufacturers such as Extron Crestron Yamaha QSC Shure and others
- Experience in large-company or structured integration environments preferred

Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with QCS controls Biamp Audio DSP Shure and Intelix. Great to have: AVPro Edge and Visionary Solutions for VoIP / switchers Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AV equipment Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking switches routers firewalls are preferred. Advanced working knowledge of computers (Windows-based) and software. Maintain a positive attitude strong work ethic and embrace a team-centric environment. Ability to read analyze and interpret complex documents including product specifications wiring diagrams and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid drivers license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
