A highly regarded litigation boutique is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The practice handles a broad range of sophisticated matters including commercial disputes employment litigation securities litigation class actions professional negligence matters entertainment-related disputes and other high-stakes litigation on both the plaintiff and defense side.

This opportunity is well-suited for a strong writer who can independently manage complex litigation matters and contribute immediately to ongoing cases.

What Youll Do

• Manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings dispositive motions briefs discovery requests and responses
• Take and defend depositions
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Appear in court for hearings oral arguments and case management proceedings
• Participate in mediations arbitrations and settlement discussions
• Manage large-scale discovery and e-discovery efforts
• Work directly with clients regarding strategy and case management
• Collaborate with litigation teams on sophisticated matters
• Assist with trial preparation and trial work
• Mentor junior attorneys and litigation support personnel when appropriate

Candidate Profile

• 5 years of complex litigation experience
• Strong legal writing skills
• Experience handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters preferred
• Experience in both state and federal courts preferred
• Significant deposition motion practice and court appearance experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• California Bar membership in good standing
• Strong academic credentials preferred

Compensation

• Base salary ranging from $150000 to $220000
• Discretionary bonuses are typically based on the quality of work and overall performance
• Origination bonus opportunities available
