DEPARTMENTPURPOSE:The Athletics team contributes to the mission by engaging donors and generating private philanthropic support for Oklahoma State University Athletics.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Athletic Stewardship Manager will develop and implement comprehensive stewardship strategies that strengthen donor relationships enhance donor engagement and recognition and support philanthropic growth through personalized stewardship activities events communications and donor-centered initiatives.


KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:
Donor Management & Engagement (40%)

  • Manage and steward a portfolio of up to 100 donor households through personalized engagement recognition and stewardship activitiesfor assigned units.
  • Coordinate stewardship efforts related to gifts including donor recognition follow-up communications and related stewardship initiatives.
  • Develop and implement mass stewardship strategies and communications for unmanaged donor prospects to enhance donor engagement and retentionby unit.
  • Prepare and manage award nominations anddesignationanniversary reports to support donor recognition and engagement effortsfor respective units.


        Donor Experiences & Events (20%)

        • Coordinate donor hospitality and engagement opportunities related to athletics including football ticket invitations and suite hosting.
        • Assist with planning and execution of advisory board and volunteer group events in collaboration with the Development Operations Coordinator (DOC) and unit partners.
        • Support and execute student-donor appreciation initiatives and related donor engagement activities.

            Stewardship Communications & Marketing (20%)

            • Coordinatemaintain and distribute unit stewardship and marketing materials to support donor relations and engagement efforts.
            • Collaborate with student workers on stewardship cards communications and donor appreciation projects.

              Stewardship Operations & Administration (20%)

              • Monitor and support pledge management activities including follow-up and coordination related to donor commitments.
              • Assistwith stewardship reporting and administrative processes that support donor engagement and recognition efforts.

                Other duties as assigned.


                JOB COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
                Education & Certifications-

                • Bachelors degree in business administration marketing and communications nonprofit management humanities or relatedâfieldsrequired.

                Experience-

                • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience.
                • Experience infundraising stewardship or donor relations preferred.
                • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
                • Senseof humor and experience having fun!

                      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
                      Ability to communicate effectively in person by phone and via video conferencing. Requires frequent repetitive motions whenoperatingcomputers telephones and standardoffice equipment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer attending meetings orparticipatingin events. This role includes traveling locally for meetings and university events which may include walking on campus and navigating varied environments.â Requires a valid drivers license. Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support fundraising events and donor engagement activities. Ability to lift carry push or pull materials weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.
