Athletics Game Day Assistant

Position Summary

The Athletics Game Day Assistant plays a vital role in creating a positive game-day experience for student-athletes coaches officials and fans. This position assists with event setup scores table operations including scoreboard and book-keeping customer service and facility management before during and after athletic contests.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of athletic venues including signage tables equipment and seating.
• Help operate the scoreboard game clock music or public address system.
• Capture photos and post on social media.
• Monitor facilities to maintain a safe clean and organized environment.
• Assist with post-game cleanup equipment storage and venue reset.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the athletic department in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable punctual and able to work evenings and some weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with large crowds.
• Basic knowledge of athletics and sporting events.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with scoreboard book-keeping or sports event operations.
• Social media or photography experience is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification
