Job Summary

Position SummaryThe associate head coach of womens lightweight rowing will assist the head coach with all administrative aspects of conducting an intercollegiate womens rowing program operating within the IRA. Heavy emphasis on recruiting student-athletes. Responsibilities will include facilitating and assisting with the administration of all phases of the intercollegiate program; including but not limited to coaching recruiting fundraising and acting as the primary coach for lightweight team. Candidate must demonstrate: a significant knowledge of rowing; strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes; knowledge and commitment to University and Conference regulations; good communication and technology skills and strong leadership Duties & ResponsibilitiesAll recruiting practices competitions and team meetings throughout the rowing planning for competitions including trailer driving to and control of equipment with academic staff training staff and other with Director of Rowing on equipment travel and recruiting maintenance student-athlete eligibility and retention-related relations and alumni targeted planning and execution of official visits for prospective events (Open Houses accepted student days etc.)Planning and implementation of a social media strategy targeting various constituencies including alumni parents student-athletes and and Promotion of Lightweight current on policies and procedures both University and NCAA. Attend league meetings where any potential NCAA Conference University or departmental rules issues for review to the Executive Director of Athletics and Director of Compliance without duties as Skills Abilities & Other AttributesBachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred. Experience coaching at the collegiate or competitive high school or club level is highly preferred. Impeccable integrity with a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. Must possess excellent communication Working ConditionsPosition includes nights and weekends; overnight and weekend travel.
