Athletic Trainer

Macon R-1 is seeking a High School Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer provides healthcare services to high school student-athletes including injury prevention evaluation treatment rehabilitation and emergency care. The Athletic Trainer works closely with athletes coaches parents/guardians physicians and school administration to promote student-athlete health and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat athletic injuries and illnesses
• Provide first aid and emergency care during practices and competitions
• Develop and supervise rehabilitation and return-to-play programs
• Maintain accurate and confidential records
• Communicate with parents coaches physicians and school personnel regarding athlete care
• Develop and implement emergency action plans and injury-prevention programs
• Monitor environmental conditions and help prevent heat-related and other sports-related illnesses
• Maintain athletic training supplies and equipment
• Follow applicable school state and professional standards and regulations
