Work schedule will vary according to practice and event schedules. These can change depending on availability of facilities and weather changes. Athletic events will take place on weekends and holidays.

Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses.
Evaluation ofathletic injuries.
Treatment & Rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Counseling and education of student athletes.
Athletic Training Administrative duties to bedetermined.
Assist with the coordination of medical coverage for workouts practices & home and away gamesincluding scheduling of student and graduate assistant athletic trainers.
Supervisioneducationand recruitment of Undergraduate andMastersLevelathletic trainers.
- Bachelors
Exercise Science Healthcare AdministrationHealth/Physical Education Sports Medicine/Kinesiology Athletic Training Physical Therapy
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Post Graduate Athletic Training Experience
Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Board of
Certification and/or American Physical Therapy Association - Prior to hire: Licensedby the state of Oklahoma as a Certified Athletic Trainer
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
- Strong analyticalwrittenand verbal communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to interact with diverse departmentUniversityand community constituencies
- Ability to direct and perform confidential detailed work with accuracy under deadline pressure
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.
- Extensive amount of time standing per day and a willingness to work extended hours including eveningsweekendsand holidays.
- Must be able to deal with heat and changing weather precautions and ability to direct personnel in case of severe weather
- Ability to manage and direct multiple personnel and tasks at one time
- Experience and knowledge of organizing strength programs especially for injured student athletes
- Working knowledge of basic word processing spreadsheet and database function
- National and international travel is required.

- Masters
Exercise Science Healthcare AdministrationHealth/Physical Education Sports Medicine/Kinesiology Athletic Training Physical Therapy
- AT/PT (Athletic trainer and Physical therapist) preferred
At least 2 years of Athletic Training Experience. Experience working with Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist
Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:
- Additional: Preferred Certification by NASM as PES/or CES. PT
Skills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:
- Experience with Manual Therapy Techniques
