Athletic Trainer (7688)

Friends University is seeking to fill the Athletic Trainer position in Wichita Kansas. This position assists the management of operations and activities of the Athletic Training Room and assists in the assessment and treatment of injuries suffered by student athletes and/or recommends other medical treatment as needed. Work hours are an average of 50 60 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours will be required.

Experience in an academic discipline or higher education is desired. Two years professional experience at college level preferred. Computer proficiency and familiarity with word-processing and database software desired (Microsoft Office preferred).

A bachelors degree in physical education and/or sports medicine is required. Masters degree in related field preferred. National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) necessary.

Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. CPR/First Aid Certification required. CPR/First Aid Instructor Preferred. Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure required.
