AuditSeniorManager - Technology Media and Telecommunications (TMT)
RSM is looking foraSenior Manager to join ourassuranceTechnologyMediaand Telecommunications (TMT) practice. Our TMT practice serves public and private companies includinggrowth oriented privateequityandventure backedcompanies. You will work with TMT companies headquartered in the top technology hubs in the country. Audits of technology companies present you with the opportunity to deal with topics as varied and complex as the products and services developed. Segments served include enterprise software software as a service e-commerce electronics and hardware manufacturers semiconductors social media digital media mobile technology telecommunications and more.
Responsibilities:
Providetimelyhigh-qualityclient service that meets or exceeds client expectations includingcoordinating the auditing of all required financial statements related disclosures and other clientdeliverables
Assess risk along with design and communicate audit procedures to engagementteams
Understand and utilize RSMsGlobalAudit Methodology
Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations forstaff
Understand skillsets and capabilities of Senior AssociatesSupervisors and Managersandmonitorandreviewwork product that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coaching notes throughout theprocess
Identifytechnical accounting matters early and assess impact on financial statements; coordinate with firm specialists asneeded
Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams andfacilitatefield work by monitoring and reportingregardingproductivity and adherence to work plan schedules on eachassignment
Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand impact of significant developments in clients business and assess impact on current year auditengagements
Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels based or industry training advising on career development orparticipatingin other Firminitiatives
Subscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as consideredapplicable
Anticipate and addressclient concerns and escalateissues as theyarise
Understand RSMs lines of businesses availability of services and where applicable discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in thefirm
Develop a strategy toutilizerelationships external to the firm withdifferent typesof Centers of Influence to effectuate businessgrowth
Manage profitability ofprojects
Ensure professional development through ongoingeducation
Keep abreast of latestindustrydevelopments as they affect GAAP SEC reportingand the Firms standards andpolicies
Willingness to travel25%of the year depending on yourclients
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
CPAor CACertification
9years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment
Experience leading teams and mentoring associates
Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAPGAASand FASB regulations
A proven record of building profitable sustainable client relationships
A successful record of directing and deploying team members on multiple simultaneous engagements
Preferred Qualifications:
Previousexperience auditingTMT companies
Understanding of audit services with knowledge of SEC and PCAOB regulations

At RSM an employees pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including but not limited to education skills work experience certifications location etc. As such pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $119100 - $239300Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
