Position Summary

The Senior ManagerAssuranceIntegrityleadsthe team responsible for performance management of assurance providersin the Textile Exchange standards systemto ensurecredibility of the standards roleensuresthatassurance modelsare understood and implementedefficiently and effectivelywhileidentifyingany gaps and risksto inform continuous improvement of the assurance providers and the assurance roleis responsible forensuring a robust system is in place totrackcertification body performanceacross the elements of the systemincluding theauditing and certification processreportingand ongoingsurveillance of certified organizations. This role is also responsibleforidentifyingtraining and support needsmanagingrisks to the systemand ensuringthe effective implementation of field monitoring intended outcome of this work is a high performingnetwork of assurance providers in the Textile Exchange system that instills trust and credibility in the system.

TheSeniorManagerleadsthe Assurance Integritysub-teamand reportsto theSeniorDirector Assurance& Traceability. The SeniorManager works closely withother teams across the departmentas well asengagementcommunicationsand legalteams to ensurecoordinatedrisk and incidentmanagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advancestrategies toensure excellence across the standards systemthroughmonitoringoversightand transparency of assurance across the standards system.
  • Identifyand track mitigation ofrisks in theassurancesystem ensuring proper escalation and collaboration whereappropriate.
  • Manage the assuranceintegritysub-teamcreating a high-performing and highly engaged team.
  • Responsible for thesystems that oversee assurance provider performance thatensure transparencyrisk management internalescalation andreportingandcontinuousimprovement.
  • Manage therisks complaints disputes and othergrievances related to assurance providers within the standards system.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Oversightand Monitoring

  • Leadthedevelopmentimplementationand managementof the strategy of assurance provider oversight and performance management.
  • Lead thedevelopment and management of ourmonitoringstrategy as part of our overall plan for performance should complement and enhance the organizational assurance model.
  • Establish systems to trackchanges inperformance over timeand implementation of corrective actions taken by assurance providers to address identified issues.
  • Implementprocesses toprovide transparency oncertificationbody performanceutilizingincentives and sanctionsto drive improvement.

Data and Traceability

  • Collaborate with Standards Data and Traceability sub-teams toleveragedataas a tool toidentifyrisks and strengthencredibility of the standards system.
  • Ensure regular reportingonassurance system performanceidentifyingtrends andrisksand informing key decisions whereappropriate.
  • Collaborate to ensurethedevelopment of our supply chain tracking strategy is backed by a robust and aligned assurance model incorporated into our assurance system.

Incident and Risk Management

  • Lead theinternal processes fortimelyresponse to complaintsandincidentsthatare assigned to the assurance integrity team ensuringassignment ofappropriate teammembers andcoordination of communications with relevant teams.
  • Ensure thatwhenrisksthat arise from assurance integrity activities arise that these areinternally communicated and loggedin accordance withthe requirements provided by the relevant teams within the department and across the organization.

Assurance ProviderEngagement

  • Contributeto engagementcommunicationand development of training content for certification bodies andaccreditationbodiesrelated to areasidentifiedthrough oversight and monitoring.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide supportas needed from other teams across the department forthe development of standardspoliciesand procedureswhere input onintegrity topicsareproperly reflected.
  • Support compliance with the ISEAL Code of Good Practice and regulatory requirements ( 1/22) from an assurance lens.
  • Coordinate with the claims and trademark teams onmarket monitoring activities such as claims policy and trademark adherence by both certified and non-certified entities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of combined experience in sustainability standards systems and certification withat least3yearsat a managementlevel.
  • Training and/or experience working as a qualified lead auditor especially in varying regional contexts.
  • Experience in oversight monitoring and performance management of assurance providers.
  • Technical knowledge of certification andaccreditationbody operations including managementexperience at a certification or accreditation body.
  • Training and/or experience working as a qualified lead auditor.
  • Technical knowledge in supply chain managementtextileand/or apparel sectors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and experience working across cultures as part of a global team.
  • A driven individual with a strong work ethic and high degree of autonomy. Self-starting and proactive.
  • Able to hit the ground running while working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Motivated energetic determined and withstrong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Native-levelproficiencyin English and at least one other language.
  • Strong work ethic and high degree of autonomy. Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track recordof professional honest discreet conduct and able toact with the organizations highest confidence at all times.
  • Excellent computer skills including advancedproficiencyin Microsoftsuitedatabasesand the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Ability to travelfrequently up to20% oftime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Textile Exchange standards or other similar standards systemsideally ISEAL members.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of assurance systems ISEAL-compliant standards systems and chain of custody models and principles.
  • Previousexperience conducting technical writing ( standards) and training.
  • Proficiencyin Chinese.

Employment Package

  • Full-Time Position 40 Hours a Week
  • Required travel: up to 20%
  • Annual Salary Range: $115000 - $150000 USD
