Associate Veterinarian Gainesville TX

A growing veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality medical and surgical care while building lasting relationships with pet owners and supporting the health and well-being of companion animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive examinations and diagnose illnesses and injuries in companion animals

• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings

• Operate diagnostic equipment collect laboratory samples and interpret diagnostic results

• Provide preventive care services including wellness examinations and client education

• Perform surgical and dental procedures as appropriate

• Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment

• Counsel pet owners on preventive healthcare treatment options and end-of-life care decisions

• Maintain accurate and complete medical records

• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care

• Ensure compliance with veterinary standards regulations and ethical practices

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited institution

• Current veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice

• Eligibility to obtain applicable controlled substance registrations as required

• Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to compassionate patient-centered veterinary care

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
