Role Purpose Statement
The Assistant Trader - Dry Bulk is reponsible for assisting the traders in the commodity trading in the specific program and general commercial activities in the Latin America region.
Main Accountabilities
- Daily revision/validation of trading position.
- Daily preparation of trading P&L and reconciliating results versus accounting figures.
- Assisting trading group in the elaboration and update of S&D reports open demand marketing plan etc.
- Ensure purchase & sales contracts input to the system is performed on time and accurately as per company policies.
- Provide commercial support to traders with customers needs as required.
- Assist with the maintenance and accurancy of the logistics position versus freight position.
- Others as needed.

- Understanding of commodity trading MTM rules commodity cash and futures settlements practices and industry terms and exchanges (CBOT).
- Understanding of ocean freight market.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting/Finance Agricultural Economics or related field.
- 1-2 years of business experience
